"School Food and Nutrition Programme Linked to Agricultural Sector"
The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the financial support of the Russian Federation has been implementing the Project "Developing Capacity for Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Selected Countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia" in Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The project aims to break the cycle of rural poverty, strengthen food security and reduce all forms of malnutrition in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The
project adopts a multi-sectoral approach to development by operationalizing the linkages between agriculture, food security, nutrition and social protection.

The project will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.

One of the components of the project is "School Food and Nutrition Programme linked to the Agricultural Sector". The Social and Industrial Foodservice Institute (SIFI) is providing technical assistance to FAO in implementing pilots in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

We developed the project proposals for each country based on the state of school feeding development in respective countries.
