Members of the Coordination Council visited schools in the Pyanj, Jaykhun, and J. After monitoring schools in the city of Bokhtar, representatives of the local self-governing body of the Khatlon region, the Ministries of Education and Science, Health and Social Protection, and others took part in the meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council on School Feeding.
The participants discussed the monitoring results, emphasized the schools’ success, addressed drawbacks, and offered possible solutions. They also referred to the issue of efficient use of school areas, which can be an excellent opportunity to diversify the school menus with organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs and significantly influence the increase in the nutritional value of school meals to benefit the schoolchildren’s health.
