For 20 years, these bakeries have been baking bread for primary school students in collaboration with the WFP in the Republic of Tajikistan. It is good that children have the opportunity to receive fresh bread at school.
But there's a problem. Existing bakery equipment is completely worn out, unsafe in operation and requires immediate replacement.
Premises of many bakeries require reconstruction, replacement of electrical equipment, purchase and installation of modern equipment.
As a result of monitoring, WFP and SIFI will select several areas for reconstruction and repair of bakery units. In the repaired bakeries, new technological equipment will be installed and high-quality bread production will be established for its further delivery to schools.
