SIFI, UN WFP announce healthy nutrition creative competition for schoolchildren in Tajikistan

For over ten years, SIFI and UN WFP have worked hard to improve school feeding in Tajikistan’s schools to provide children with hot, nutritious, and healthy meals. We also strive to ensure that children “make friends” with healthy nutrition and consciously choose foods that benefit them. To achieve this, we regularly organize educational and entertainment events for children: homeroom hours, themed festivals, healthy eating weeks, and competitions.

Today, we are announcing the beginning of a republican creative competition for the children of all age groups in schools participating in the UN WFP School Feeding Programme.

The winners will receive valuable gifts and an invitation to a gala event in Dushanbe dedicated to one of the most celebrated days in the UN holiday calendar - World Food Day, and another equally important event - the 60th anniversary of WFP's activities around the world and the 30-year presence in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The fundamental idea of the competition is to increase schoolchildren’s awareness about the basics of healthy eating through creativity.

Each entry will be evaluated according to the age group and topic:

- Grades 1-4: “Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow”

- Grades 5-8: “Saving lives, changing lives” (about the activity of WFP UN and SIFI in Tajikistan)

- Grades 9-11: “Our efforts for a world without hunger.”

Participants can submit work in any of two formats:

● Drawing in any technique (gouache, watercolor, graphics, plasticineography, etc.) using A-4 or A-3 sheet format.

● Handicrafts using any technique (origami, kirigami, macrame, knitting, sewing, plasticine, clay).

The jury includes representatives of the Union of Artists of Tajikistan, UN WFP, and SIFI.

We wish all participants creative inspiration and success!
